mij mag je bij deze uitschrijven hoor, op deze manier wil ik het rustige Ierland niet gaan ontdekken...

als je me wel alle info kan doorsturen rob, zou ik dat op prijs stellen. wat je gaat zien, welke hotelletjes er zoal zijn, welk vervoer van luchthaven naar hotel, etc.!

dan doe ik het wel op mijn eentje of met enkelen die ook liever een kleine groep verkiezen.

met de reply's tot nu toe: hotelletjes ginder vol, Ryanair heeft nooit zoveel plaats vrij op zijn vliegtuigen, en dan zeker niet aan lage prijzen, ...en ik vermoed dat trebs niet vijf keer BD'ers wil gidsen....

gaat ten onder aan het succes denk ik....


rob, alle info is dus meer dan welkom. ik spreek je binnenkort nog wel eens

Ajuin! Gij zijt nog nooit opstap geweest met BDers? Nog nooit een Shooting day meegemaakt? Hoe meer BDers hoe plezanter het is. Dus ??? ik heb shootings meegemaakt met 12 BDers en met 80 Bders... Allebei even goed, daar niet van, maar met 80 was het toch een stuk gezelliger.
Ze lopen toch niet samen in één grote groep hoor, gelijk een regiment Duitse soldaten dat voorbijmarcheerd... Nee, ze vormen kleine gezellige babbel en fotogroepjes en ik fladder gelijk ne vlinder van groepje naar groepje. Heerlijk.
Dus je denkt ten onrechte, veel volk is niet gezellig !

ik zou ook naar uw sd komen als ik tijd had hoor mic, ik laat me niet doen door veel volk, zeker niet, dat schrikt me niet af. ouwbollig, maar: hoe meer zielen, hoe meer vreugd he...


maar dat was niet wat ik in gedachten had om voor de eerste keer het rustige Ierland/Dublin te ontdekken. zo een city-trips zijn zeer leuk, maar mag voor mij in rustieke sfeer gebeuren


zoals ik zei in mn eerste post: ik had nét voor deze thread zelf aan deze mogelijkheid gedacht, en eens prijzen gezocht. zelf had ik toen zo een reisje met zn vijven of zo in gedachten. intussen zitten we hier met toch minstens 20 mensen die wel willen, waarvan er sommigen met meerdere 'inschrijven'... tja, 5 <->30 is al heel verschil....


blijft prima initiatief wat ik enkel kan toejuichen
en er zullen er uiteindelijk nog heel wat af vallen wegens tijdsgebrek, toch te duur, ziekte, of ...


ik had om het kort te zeggen, een romantische voorstelling ervan. mic, met al uw levensjaren: romantiek en veel volk, voor mij geen goede combinatie... dat was even mijn opmerking, niet meer, niet minder
met mijn voorstelling hoe het zou zijn, is het met zoveel volk niet compatibel


ik doe hier geen afbreuk aan, echt tof van trebs, en zal zeker leuk worden. misschien dat ik toch nog meega, maar dan zal ik niet veel later toch eens teruggaan
ben ik nu plots aan het bijdraaien?

Trebs, if you need good info about Dublin :
A friend of mine is original Dubliner, living in Amsterdam for 10 years ( or more ) , but still goin' back often to meet his family & friends.
If you have questions : it's an honor to forward those to them ....

hey guys,
Ik heb aan mijn "mate" info gevraagd en dit is wat hij schrijft ...

As I'm not a photographer myself (I have a digicam - but I only use it
for "snaps" and "general fun"), it's difficult to offer advice...

But I presume your friend is interested in "typical Dublin" photos.
(For example: there's a really great Botanical Gardens ins Dublin, which
would offer great opportunities for photo's of flowers - but one Hortus
Botanicus is much the same as another - and is not really "related" top
where the pix were taken ...

There'a tourist office right in the main street (O'Connell Street) and
maps and tours can me arranged there. There may even be a "rout for
photographers" (I really don't know - but the Tourist Board people will
:-)

The "typical" Dublin stuff is the River Liffey which divides the city in
two, and has the (pedestrian) "ha'penny bridge" , city scenes and views
and of course the Art and Cultural area known as "Temple Bar".
Trinity college has the book of Kells (you can't take poix of that), but
also a great old library - straight out of Victorian times ...
Whta might be an intresting and fruitful trip is to take the DART (Dublin
Area Rapidd Transit) along the coast to Howth at one end, or Bray at the
other. A stop at Killiney (going south) offers nice rugged steep walks and
views of the bay. The DART is a commuter train which runs right on the
coastline on much of the route. Howth in the North end is a fishing
village with a couple of islands in the bay with trips available and a
chance of seals and gannets.

I think it depends to a huge extent to what interests an individual. I'm
morr interested in nature, so the last offering above is possible a neat
idea for anyone looking for that kind of thing. Otherwise, the "standard
city" stuff is basically all around you in Duiblin and can't be missed
even if you try :-)
Any brochure from the tourist board will have great tips like Dublin
Castle and Goorgian houses and so on.
Likewise; the newsgroups and "what to see" websites will have more stuff
than I could write in a month of Sundays :-)

But I hope the above helps at least a little as a "personal insight" !
