There is a new Mayan calendar that breaks with the doomsday theory in 2012
American archaeologists in the city of Xultún , Guatemala , has uncovered the calendar of civilization maya oldest so far, which, they argued, gives no indication that the end of the world is near.
The finding, published this week in the journal Science , dismantles the theory of those who predict that the world will end in 2012 based on 13 cycles of the Mayan calendar, known as " baktun "because it has 17" baktun ".
"This means there are more periods of 13" known so far, said one of the researchers, who noted that the concept has been "manipulated" and said that the Mayan calendar cycle will continue with its millions of years.
As interpreted by the experts, the hieroglyphics found in Xultún estimate the end of our planet, at least, 7,000 years more...."
