I couldn't agree more that BD needs more experimental stuff and less 'birds & bees-photography', but I disagree with the 'like this'. Don't forget that the most creative minds in history would be 'pixelpeepers' today. They all regarded the mastering of basic techniques as an essential condition to be able to express themselves freely, and they still do.

The point I mean is that regardless of equipment, an expressive image can be made with any equipment. The problem is when people limit their creativity by thinking their equipment can't do that for them. Technical problems aside. Delivering an image that meets a specification does require certain equipment, there is no denying that.
Creativity isn't limited by equipment.

As a kid I was told a bee can't really fly because it's wings are too small for it's body mass. It only flies because it doesn't know it's wings are too small.
The same for creativity, tell someone that can't do 'that' because the gear doesn't allow it and creativing is stunted. Don't tell them and they'll use what they have to make what they can and want.

Als beginner heb ik weinig gewicht in dit soort discussies. Wat ik wel zie, is dat mensen zoals fotofolio, lana en mm blijkbaar een positieve noot over je materiaal ten berde brengen.
Volgens mij kan dit al wel iets betekenen, gezien de kwaliteit van hun fotografie (dit is een persoonlijke opvatting, welke ik niet als algemeen aanvaard wil laten overkomen)
Ikzelf hou van fotografie die verder gaat dan de gulde snede, scherpte op de juiste plaats, blablabla...
Ieder heeft zijn voorkeur, voor (bijna) alles is een publiek.. het zou maar een saaie bedoeling worden anders...
Ik kan alleen beamen wat sommigen hier reeds vertelden... doe zo voort... Ik vind het prachtig te zien dat iemand z'n eigen zin doet, zonder steeds angstig af te wachten of het wel volgens de regels van de kunst (als je dat zo al kan noemen) is...
Knap, meer van dit dus...

Tussen dit en de sublieme, emotionele fotografie van Lara Jade zit een wereld van verschil.

Weet jij nog hoe Lara begonnen is ,

Ik herinner me haar eerste beelden nog alsof het gisteren was ... amaai, dat waren géén "foto's" ... enkel ruis (en dan nog 180° portretten). Weet je wat men tegen haar zei op een foto forum "Whatever style you're going for ... it ain't it, sell your camera and start to sing" ...

Kijk eens wat ze nu allemaal brengt, niet dat ik al haar werk goed vind maar ze is er alvast STUKKEN op vooruit gegaan ... ons Lara

On topic: 't heeft wel iets, maar zeker niet je beste uit je werk, want daar staan echte pareltjes tussen

Sommige mensen zijn zelfs om 8u54 nog niet goed wakker en weten ook niet wat beleefdheid is.
