Intel® are aware of the situation concerning the temperature spikes with the i7-7700K processor and will soon be providing updates on the Intel® Communities site here:
As more information becomes available we will provide a more detailed update. The boxed processors have a 3-year warranty, which we will be happy to honor based on the results from our investigation. There is the possibility at this point that a replacement processor could still be affected by this.
Could you run the Intel® Processor Diagnostic tool and send us the results please? :
Could you tell us which other system components you have, like your motherboard, RAM, and power supply please? Also, could you provide the Batch and Serial Numbers of your processor, your telephone number, and your postal address in the event that we process a warranty replacement?
