So you did not enter restaurant ALBATROS and asked if mr. Roelandt was there????
even more simple, just enter and CALL his mobile phone, then you would have seen who picked up a phone, or where a phone was ringing

I stayed 1 hours in front of Albatros in cold rain. I called him many times but he only reply by SMS. I did not have any direct talking with him. From the start to end, he use only SMS and have not accepted and call from me. When I was in Albatros, it show that they closed. I SMS him, he ask me about the price 300 E, I accepted. But after 1 hour watting, he send me SMS that he haven't finised his work, and I came back.

I really don't like to buy D3000 or D5000, after a trip, I do nothing with them because my D90 will do more better.

Sorry but the complete story still sounds verry weird to me, especially because the guy is verry easy to be found via the internet, just type in his email adress in google and you find his personal/professional website where you can find other contactdetails... just do a lookup on DNS.be and you can find even more info...

And also, I'm still hesitating to believe your story and that is why (like I allready told) I sent the guy a mail and a SMS (mobile phone on his site) with the question if it is possible to hear his side of the story....

I am a foreigner and I really don't know about the belgian photographers. I try my best to keep this trade because it really important with me. Not only for a trip but also the D2h is a good camera and pro felling. I traded with some people in 2ndhands and ebay, normally I send money first and they will send goods to me by de Post. After more than 20 trades, I did not have any problem with Belgian people, they are almost trust and very kind. That is the point make me very supprise when I tryed to buy D2h and trade came down with terrible way. I bought some lenses and film cameras in that website and now are using them.
If you need the proof, I can give you by forward his email or SMS.

Removed the comments on request of the person in question.
The only thing He asks me to put here is:

a) He didn't trust Plutonium
b) he took the descision not to sell

Viewing what happend to the family that thought selling a car to foreigners in Wemmel I can understand him that he is a bit carefull with making appointments with people...
You need also to understand that it is, especially for sellers dangerous to make appointments with people they don't know... it is not the first time a seller has been attacked...
So yes, for you he might sound a cheater, but yes I do understand him

I don't know why but it is better if he said directly that he will NOT sell the camera to me or to student or to foreigner. I kept hope till to this morning before I take the train to Aalst. And after his SMS, I feel very dispointed and email him about I will post the story on net and 2dehands. I wait him for 1 hour but no reply! And I post the story.

The tendency in each society lately is more: if something happens, let's just ignore it... before we get in trouble ourselves

About the mail and the police and so on... he has the right to ask you to remove his emailadress and name, because that can be seen as profanity , so I should just remove those if I were you.. about the message itself, you did your story.
And his message somehow even confirms your story except that he didn't tell you the correct reason why he didn't sell you the camera...
But if he thought you were a scammer it is normal that he wouldn't tell you that he thinks you're a scammer.

It is may be too hurry but I send mail and SMS also him. Normally he reply with in 10 minutes. And I think if you was in my situation, can you keep it for a hour?

@Biohazard: I removed the link and the emails but I will keep this story. I though that i am not wrong to write down my bad experience in trading DSLR.
