Heeft iemand ervaring met deze lens?
De 2.0 versie is scherper (op het focuspunt dan) , meer lichtgevoelig (F2) en gemakkelijker in gebruik dan de original. Ziet er wat uit als een toy, maar de selectieve focus en speciale blur geeft heel creatieve mogelijkheden binnen context van portret, huwelijk, stilleven en macro.

Ik ben hier ook wel benieuwd naar. De twee dingen die ik me afvraag zijn:
1. Geeft de camera enige indicatie, dat je correct scherpgesteld hebt, of moet je volledig vertrouwen of je ogen?
2. Hoe zijn de resultaten qua scherpte/contrast/kleur etc.?

Open PBase zijn wat galleries te zien met resultaten. Deze ziet er wel leuk uit.

Leuke lens, het lijkt wel speelgoed, maar je kan er wel een leuk effect mee maken. Met 50mm is hij ook wel heel bruikbaar. Prijs valt nog 'mee', wel nog rekening houden met import taxen..

Ik was er onlangs ook nog over aan het lezen. Ik zou ze wel precies niet in America kopen, te duur plus eventueel nog douanekosten...

I'd spend XXXX Euro on a camera and then then a lens baby to screwup the output

It's hard to use, I didn't see the fun in it to be honest, any result from it is an accident, 10mins of "fun" then it sits in the bottom of the camera bag for a year.
In fact, the one I borrowed... the guy soon got bored and sold it.

I knew someone who made one too. An Extention tube on the camera body, a piece of rubber innertube from a motorbike, stretched that between the tube and a 50mm lens.

Similar effect? UV filter with vaseline on it, smudge that arround with a finger until you blur the image.

In what way? Was the output bad? I mean was the focuspoint sharp or was that a mess too?
You could say that a softfocus filter messes up your output too. In the case of a softfocus filter I don't see it as messing up. Neither is bokeh.
It's just blurred output. But what you want sharp, should be sharp.

You can't see the result real time in your viewfinder? That's what they seem to claim on the website.

Die Lensbaby is volgens mij gewoon een leuk speeltje voor je dSLR. Het is een lensje waar je wat creatief mee kan zijn voor het plezier. De kwaliteit zal niet veel bijzonders zijn, maar ik vermoed dat je na wat oefenen je er wel een stuk van je beeld mee scherp kan krijgen.

Het spreekt voor zich dat de prijs veel te hoog is voor dergelijk speeltje. Een stuk afvoerbuis, vier rondellen en een 'lens'; meer is het in principe. Maar het kost nu ook geen fortuinen..

Enfin, kzie er geen graten in om dit te kopen. Maar doe het vooral niet om een 50mm prime te hebben.. koop dan liever een goedkopere 50/1.8, daar zal je veel mooiere foto's mee nemen.
