Re: Nikon D7000 of D300s

AF performance is not perfect - in the dim light of the strobe model lamps on a darker background, I get the impression that the AF system doesn't react as quickly as the D700 or D300 do, and given that I shoot very fast as the model moves (I mostly shoot dancers), this causes problems sometimes. With the D7000 I think I will need to slow down slightly and make really sure I not only place the AF target correctly, but also make sure I refocus a lot and always give the system a little extra time to settle down. I still wouldn't be shocked if a firmware update came along too. You also just don't have as much DOF as you'd expect - that 16mp of rez is crazy - thus once again, the D700 actually ends up being the easier to shoot reliably as you don't have to be concerned with pixel density and it's problems.
