  • Nikon WT-2A transmitter

Anyone here using the Nikon WT-2A on a D2X?

I'm looking for options for transmitting when in the studio, the new D3 wireless transmitter seems to be full of issues at the moment and seeing as we mostly use the D2X's in studio I'd like to try one out the WT-2A.

Any feedback on wireless users welcome.

    Rob.

    Re: Nikon WT-2A transmitter

    Hi Rob,

Ive used the WT-1A a lot on mij D2x. Mainly for pack shots or macro's and although the WT-1 is the slow version (11mbit vs. 54mbit) I've managed to optimize the workflow so I was able to work fast with it (keeping the NEF's on the CF and transmitting the JPG's wireless for an quick check on the monitor

The WT-2 allows you to also manage the camera from the PC with Camera control while the WT-1 version is sending only. The setup has been simplified by some downloadble software from Nikon website.

Please keep in mind that WT-1 and WT-2 does not fit on the D3. So when buying one you can't switch it to a D3. The D3 only supports the WT-4 that is an external device.

    Best regards,
