Taken in Flanders, sometime between 1943 and 2005.



We often spend time repairing old photos, making them look new and clean. I think the opposite is more difficult. I felt this shot just cried out for a retro feel.

Prachtige foto en heel knappe bewerking Alleen bij het zwarte kader heb ik mijn bedenkingen. Een wit gekarteld randje zou IMHO hier mooier zijn

ja het is een mooie opname, maar er hoort inderdaad een wit gekarteld randje omheen.

the black isn't supposed to be a frame, the white around the photo is the "border", the black is simply the black background from the, <cough>, scanner

Maybe I should have put it on a white background, then added a little edited drop-shadow to lift the crumpled edges a little.

It's a real watch.. analogue , wind-up, with leather strap too. Does that count?

Humm.. OK het is alweer 60 jaar geleden die 'groote oorlog', toch niet zoo lang geleden...

-en de uitvinding van het polshorloge dateerd van zowat eind 1800...
