Pre-Proloog Dakar

Ik ben naar de Pre-Proloog van Dakar geweest, van de 300 geschoten foto's vond ik deze toch echt de beste...
Ik had m'n Canon 400D en de 70-200 F2.8 L lens bij.
Ik had het middelste Focus puntje geselecteerd en had de focus op AI Servo staan om de objecten te kunnen volgen.

volgens mij moet je ALLE focuspunten selecteren, anders werkt die AI Servo niet zoals het moet ... allez, dacht ik toch

hmm, het zal daar droger zijn in afrika...

ik mis wat actie, kleur, scherpte in de foto's. De weersomstandigheden zullen er wel mee te maken hebben natuurlijk..

de tweede is voor mij wel spannender als de eerste door de crop.
De derde vind ik niet interessant, zo van op de rug

toch een verdienstelijke poging!

If you understand how Canon AI Servo works,
1. AI Servo always operates with more PRECISION with f/2.8 or faster lenses. But, precision is different from how the AI Servo system functions relative to the center FP.
2. It is MANDATORY to FIRST acquire the subject target with the Center FP when using AI Servo. Peripheral points will not ACQUIRE target to begin servo tracking.
3. If you have Auto FP Selection enabled (i.e., no particular FP selected), the camera AI Servo system will attempt to "hand-off" subject to the adjacent FPs as subject moves out of center of frame.
4. If you have only the Center FP selected, the AI Servo will not attempt to focus track the subject if it moves out of center of frame. It will track subjects moving toward or away.

The trick is in knowing when to use Auto FP selection vs. when to lock the Center FP. Soccer shooters tend to lock the Center FP because they are concerned with a peripheral player crossing the frame and drawing servo focus off. With panning races, you are frequently better with AI Servo using Auto FP Selection after target acquisition in the Center FP.
It just depends on situation.

dus werkt met alle focus punten, middelste is het gevoeligste, wanneer je 1 focuspunt selecteerd met je je onderwerp ook op dat focuspunt houden, wanneer alle focuspunten punten selecteerd zal de servo evt het onderwerp 'overdragen' op een ander focuspunt - in dit geval heb je wel meer kan op interferentie met andere objecten
