Dit kwam ik tegen bij DPR (vertaling van de Japanse tekst).
Canon erkent dat er een probleem is met de batterijgrip van de 20D (BP-E2) . Je kan veel te weinig foto's maken in vergelijking met bv. de 10D.
Mijn 20D heeft dat probleem dus ook - en nu maar hopen dat het snel en efficiënt kan verholpen worden ...

Regarding the 20D/20Da DSLRs battery grip BG-E2, though there are three ways of making this new product fully charged, the feasibility of using this for taking pictures is low, sometimes soon the battery power is low and the indicator reads as such, and now we have confirmed that the event of this phenomena does occur! To customers who are using this product, we are very sorry, and we give you our most profound appologies.
For the battery packs with which this phenomena occurs, from the last third of May, we plan to fix them free of charge. Will we instruct you on the details of the start of the repairs at a later date. For your inconvienience we are truly sorry, (another apology) but please wait for a little while.
From now on, in an effort to ease the fears of the customers, the thoroughness of our quality control will be attended to with great earnestness, thus please bear with us!
