  • Oly E10 and AF with Cokin P-system

Using the Cokin P-System on my Standard Olympus E10 zoom seems to interfere with the autofocus feature. It looks as if the Cokin lensholder blocks the AF port located in front of the camerabody. As a result, quite a number of shots are totally out of focus, because the camera is unable to bring the picture into focus automatically. To work around this problem I need to put the camera into manual mode; is this a common issue when using the Cokin P-System with the E10?

    Hello Freek,
Perfectly normal what you describe ...
The Cokin filter set blacks the IR focussing aid.
So, you have to disable the IR focussing aid by selecting "extra lenses".
After that, no focussing problems anymore.

    Kind regards,
    Jaja
