Ik overweeg om een camera in Amerika te kopen maar zit met de vraag of er dan wel garantie in Nederland zal zijn. Twijfel nog steeds tussen 1.Minolta A1 met TCON-17 2.Panasonic FZ10. De garantie is ook een bijkomende overweging, Minolta waarschijnlijk wel, Panasonic weet ik niet. Ik vond op de Amerikaanse Minolta website het volgende over garantie; het lijkt erop dat als je als Europeaan in Amerika een Minolta A1 koopt, toch aanspraak kunt maken op garantie in Europa cq Nederland. Kijk maar eens naar het volgende;

MINOLTA CORPORATION U.S.A. LIMITED ONE (1) YEAR WARRANTY-
Minolta Corporation 101 Williams Drive Ramsey, New Jersey 07446 (ìMinoltaî) warrants that the product set forth below, IF PURCHASED IN THE UNITED STATES OR ANY ISLAND IN CARIBBEAN SEA, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase under the following terms and conditions:1. To obtain service under this warranty, send or deliver this product, within the warranty period together with this warranty certificate, to any Minolta regional office or Minolta authorized warranty service center, you must also present proof of purchase showing the date and place of purchase and, if not prohibited by local law, pay a handling fee. 2. If, upon inspection by Minolta or a Minolta authorized warranty service center, the product is proved to be defective, it will be repaired without charge using if necessary, new parts or comparable used parts which have been fully reconditioned, and returned to you. Where not prohibited by local law, a freight charge may be imposed for the return of the product to you. The warranty period for replacement parts shall extend for a period of six (6) months following the installation of same or for the remaining period of this warranty, whichever is longer.3. This Minolta product is warranted by Minolta Co., Ltd. for a period of one year from the dateof purchase against defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty shall be limited to the repair and / or adjustment.
To obtain service under the international warranty, the product & this certificate duly completed and stamped or signed by dealer must be sent or presented to any Minolta Authorized Service Stations listed and marked 8(list included with product). Insurance, handling and transportation charges shall be borne by the person desiring service. Handling and / or repair fees incurred in the use of service centers not authorized by Minolta shall be the responsibility of the purchaser.
The same warranty conditions and liability restrictions set forth in paragraphs 3,4 &5 of the USA Limited Warranty shall be applicable to service under this International Warranty.
