help! where can I rent a fish-eye? ****Lens found****

Hi all,

I've been asked to do a shoot in a music studio this month, it's a very small place so I'd like to use fish-eye for for the day.

Does anyone know of places in .be that will rent lenses for a day?
I've asked around some shops, but no luck, even a couple of other pro's and they don't know either...
If it comes to it, I'll probably have to buy one, but it's not on my shopping list just yet.

D70 fit, 8 - 10mm ? preferably nice and fast too.

Why not trying to use one for just that shoot from another person from BD ?
It would be good saying where you are living, so, perhaps other near-by living BD-people could contact you !

ja, ik geef purlut gelijk. ik dacht dat je nabij de kust woonde rob, en binnenkort is er een groothoek-SD aan de kust. mensen die aan de kust wonen met een groothoek bestaan dus zeker.

kijk anders even bij de SD's, en je ziet een boel mensen met groothoek, en eventueel fish-eyes. met vragen doe je nooit kwaad.......

An excellent question, but my feelings are that someone invested a lot of money in good glass, the last thing they'd want to do it lend it to someone, to "risk" having it damaged. I've seen a lot of arguments started with people lending tools to others and them getting broken. That's why I didn't ask...
but as you asked, the shoot is in Gent, so anyone around that area willing to "rent" a lens for the 26th March (I find it only fair to pay for such a service). I'd be very gratefull.
I've looked at many sites now, the best of which, with the best selection was in Amsterdam. I've still got time though, I might find somewhere closer.

The other link posted, re: the rental thread awas interesting for sure. Paying a "borg" is part of the process of rental, there's no real way around that.

Wow. There are some generous people out there in BD land.

A very kind BDer has offered to lend me his Nikon 10.5mm for the shoot I have planned.

BD-ers is a strange group of persons. Sometimes it's someone or somebody who willhelp another, and mostly those helping people have no name !
