Kreeg gisteren deze mail :
I enjoyed looking at your site very much.
My name is (knip) and I am a freelance camerman from Dallas, Texas. I will be leaving for the Middle East on March 14, 2004 and 2 of the countries I will be visiting will be Iran and Turkey. I will be shooting a documentary for local PBS afiliate in Dallas and I know we will only be in these 2 countries for a few days. You have extensive photos. My question is would you be kind enough to allow us to use some of your photos in our documentary about Islam and how it varies from western religion. I would be happy to give you photo credit as well as a copy of our documentary.
If not available do you have a low figure in mind that we could use the rights to your photos.
We have received a grant from the Texas foundation that will allow us to visit the Middle east and videotape a series of programs for the McCuistion TV Program ( KERA PBS Dallas ) on the terrorist threat. we will be looking at the history of the issue and its root causes. the major conflicts between our cultures, differences between Islam and Democracy or lack thereof and possible solutions, success stories of what works well and the present role of women. we want to go deeper than what most media are presently portraying and look at the situation as objectively as possible. This project will result in not only television programs but we hope a documentary, educational programs for key decision makers and a school curriculum with study guides, for history and social studies teachers. We will be visiting India, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, Turkey and France...
