  • need yalls help pls !!

    Happy New Year to you all !!! Yesterday went on a visit to the zoo (and yes they let me out again ;p) took some pictures that turned out good but there are people in the background and would like to know how to remove them and some wire(tried abracadabra didnt work ) - is this possible with elements 2 ???

    het kann ook in het vlaams - verstah dat wel maar soms kann ik niet de juiste woorden vinden voor iets uiteleggen sorry

    hey Kirsten..post a small version of the pic you need to be worked on in the forum "fotobewerking" and maybe a link to the original version...

    it sure is possible, as we have some real PS-wizards here, but we need to see the pic first...

      Kirsten,

      Sometimes you don't have to remove things in the background; in some cases blurring them a little or making them lighter (or darker) puts the emphasis to things in the foreground.

      And if you really want to remove things, you can indeed use Elements 2. You can use the Clone Tool to copy/clone parts of the background (eg grass, bushes, clouds etc) over the disturbing parts. For cloning Elements is just as useful as big Photoshop itself (and works similar). But you will have to work carefully and take suitable samples with the cloning tool. And you'll need patience.
      For specific cloning questions follow Stefs advice: ask them in Fotobewerking.

      ps: Did you use Abracadabra version 6.51b? The older versions won't remove wire
