driver voor HP 618 photosmart digitale camera

Heeft er iemand een driver of weet iemand waar ik die driver kan downloaden van deze digitale camera. Ik heb de cd thuis liggen maar ben momenteel op reis en ik heb die drivers nodig (voor win 98).
Op de site van HP staat alleen een upgrade, en ik heb ze gemaild en ze zeggen dat ik de cd moet bestellen... Tegen als ik de cd krijg ben ik al terug thuis...

Die drivers die op de site van HP staan zijn inderdaad aleen updates. Ik heb naar HP gemaild en ze zeggen dat je de cd moet bestellen. Aangezien ik nu op vakantie ben en de cd thuis liggen heb is dat nutteloos want tegen dat de cd hier toekomt ben ik al terug thuis...

Hallo,
weer fijn om een nieweling in het forum tegen te komen. Ik zal je eens onmiddelijk i de watten leggen. ipv naar de driver te zoeken bekeek ik op hp.com de pdf manual en o wonder, je hebt geen drivers nodig. ik dacht al zoiets daar het een usb-enabled camera is. Bij deze in de bijlage de werkwijze om down te loaden zonder driver (kopie uit pdf. manual pag. 41 en 42). De figuren staan er niet bij maar deze toonden alleen hoe de usb kabel aan te sluiten.

Ik kon geen .txt bijlage uploaden (help sven) dus zet ik het er maar letterlijk bij:
dit wordt denk ik wel het langste forumbericht.

chapter 5: Sharing Images 41 Transferring Images to Your omputer
Setting the USB Disk Drive Mode on the amera
Note: If you have a Macintosh computer and
have already followed the instructions in
the HP 618 Digital Camera Quick Start Guide to
set the USB Disk Drive mode on your
camera, skip these instructions and go on
to "Using Your Camera as a USB Mass Storage
Device to Transfer Images " on page 42.
You must first set your camera to USB Disk Drive mode as follows:
1 Set the camera mode dial to Capture mode .
2 Power on the camera if you haven 't already.
3 Press the MENU button on the back of the camera. The Capture mode menus are displayed on
the image LCD.
4 Press the right arrow on the 4- way controller three times to move to the Preferences menu.
5 Press the down arrow on the 4- way controller three times to move to the PC Connect Mode
menu option.
6 Press the left ( Edit) soft key. The PC Connect Mode submenu is displayed, and the USB Disk
Drive option is highlighted.
7 Press the left ( Select) soft key. The checkmark moves to the USB Disk Drive option, and
you return to the Preferences menu of Capture mode. The camera is now set to USB Disk
Drive mode.
8 Press the right ( Exit) soft key to exit the menu.
9 Power off the camera by using the camera 's power switch.
The USB Disk Drive mode will remain set on your camera only if you power off the camera by
using the power switch. By powering off the camera correctly, you will not have to repeat the
previous procedures when transferring images to your computer via the USB Disk Drive mode in
the future.

Using Your Camera as a USB Mass Storage Device to Transfer Images
Note:
Software for Macintosh computers wasincluded with your camera.If you wish,you can
use this software to transfer images to your Macintosh,instead of the procedures here.
This software also provides tools for editing images and using them in creative projects.
Once your camera is set to USB Disk Drive mode, you can transfer images to either your Macintosh OS 8.6 or better computer,or your Windows Me,98,or 2000 computer,by doing the following:
1Power on the computer if you haven 't already.
2Connect the rectangular end of the USB cable to the USB port on either your Macintosh
computer 's keyboard, or to the front or back exterior of your Windows computer (
see Figure 24)
3Open the door to the camera 's connector compartment and connect the
Square end of the USB cable to the bottom ( USB) connector (see Figure 25)

4Set the camera mode dial to PC Connect mode .
5Power on the camera.If you have a: .Macintosh computer,an icon labeled "Untitled " appears on your computer 's desktop.The camera is now viewed by your Macintosh as a new disk drive.

computer under the My Computer folder in Windows Explorer.

You can either follow step 6 below to copy the image files from the camera to the computer in Windows Explorer,or you can use the HP Photo Imaging Software to transfer the images.
6Copy the image files from the disk drive (the camera)to the hard drive of your computer as you would from a floppy disk.

Ok, ik zal het is uittesten straks. Het is raar want als ik de camera aansloot in win98 vroeg hij toch een driver voor de nieuwe hardware, maar misschien is het inderdaad niet nodig...

dat klopt idd
maar als je de camera eerst als USB Mass Storage Device insteld dan gaat dat wel...
de oly e10 heeft dat ook en dat werkt idd zonder de usb drivers....
kheb dat getest btw
zorg dat je camara in deze mode staat en win98 zal automatisch een verwisselbare schijf in je verkenner weergeven, daarna hoef je maar copy/paste te doen en voila...

dat werkt dus ook niet he, ik doe alles wat hier uitgelegd staat, maar win 98 vraagt nog steeds de drivers voor de camera als ik hem aansluit

Me again, hoop dat ge mijne langen uitleg nog niet beu zijt !

HP kennende MOET dat werken<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>. Je moet dus de camera (heb hem niet en nooit live gezien) bovenaan op het groene kodakje zetten, hem dan opzetten. Op menu knop drukken.In het menu naar preferences gaanmet de pijltjesknoppen.
Hier drukt ge op edit (staat op lcd dus zult denkelijk op knop eronder moeten drukken of zo). Nu gaat er weer een menu open.
Nu 'drukt'ge eenmaal op het linkse pijltje dat in het schermpje staat (dus niet de echte pijltjestoets denk ik). Nu gaat ge ineens terug naar een vorig menu. Als ge het nu terug opent met edit zie je dat pc connect mode is aangevinkt.

Zo ziet dat er uit in de manual.
Nu moet ge alleen zorgen dat er foto's op de kaart staan en hem met de usb kabel aan de pc hangen en deze opstarten. Nu ziet ge een extra harde schijf in de verkenner. Dit is de kaart.

Voila, zo moet dat werken.

Vermoedelijk was de connect mode niet geselecteerd, allee, als mijne glazen bol werkt toch.
De soft-key in de engelse tekst zijn de knoppen in hey schermpje zelf (edit, select,etc) Hier kan je misschien ook de mist in zijn gegaan (is daar wel mist waar je zit?).

Dat is dus wat ik gedaan heb, maar toch werkt het niet, hij vraagt nog steeds naar de driver...

Strange,

Als ge op de BD dag zijt, neemt dat dan is allemaal mee (laptop en camera en zo). dan vissen we het daar is uit tussen de soep en de patatten. Bel ondertussen eens naar HP belgie als je in grote nood zit. Normaliter is de HP info en hardware uitermate goed.
(ben zelf geen Hp freak of zo).

Zonder je te willen beschuldigen van onhandigheid of zo, het kan immers echt een fout zijn!! Verdere hulp kan ik niet bieden want mijn kristallen bol ziet je niet meer <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

aangenomen dat win98 achter drivers vraagt en je camera goed is ingesteld, steek dan eens de win98 cd in en laat 'm ff zoeken....
normaal moet die de win database afgaan en 'n verwisslbare schijf instaleren....
als dat niet jouw pc is, hoe zit dat met de usb devices....mischien 'n slechte ondersteuning
probeer eens je camera op de juiste instellingen te zetten, je pc opstarten en dan pas de usb kabel inpluggen....normaal gaat dat met ne oly e10 als die op pc connect staat....ook zonder de drivers ...(ik heb dat vandaag nog getest)

vergeet niet dat op de vorige foto het vinkje verkeerd staat, dat moet op "usb disk drive" staan ....
