Er is een nieuwe versie van Nikon Capture op komst:

Meest interessante feature op het gebied van verwerking is wellicht de mogelijkheid om vignetting te compenseren, evenals de ruis-onderdrukkingsmogelijkheden.
Ook even opmerken dat er een nieuwe versie van Nikon View is. Belangrijkste features hier zijn:
- The COOLPIX4300 and COOLPIX3500 Digital Cameras are now supported.
- Lens Type (D, G, VR) is now displayed in the Shooting Data area in the Nikon View for images captured with the D100.
- File attributes (Protection, Hide and Voice Memo) can now be verified with Nikon Viewer.
- A function which allows a color profile to be embedded with an image when it is transferred using Nikon Transfer has been added. This function is only available, however, for images captured with the D1 and images captured with the D1X, D1H, and D100 in Color Mode II.
- A Color Management tab has been added to the Preferences dialogs in Nikon Browser and Nikon Viewer.
- Automatic thumbnail creation for images for which thumbnail data has not been registered is now performed so that thumbnails can be displayed for all images.
- The shortcut for “Add to Favorites…” in the Nikon Browser Folder menu has been changed from M to B.
- The problem which caused JPEG image files to be deleted when those images were rotated in Nikon Browser has been corrected.
