Op de meeste lenzen van canon staat een productiecode. Kan iemand me vertellen hoe ik die kan ontcijferen? Ik weet alleen dat de "U" voor canon staat.

Canon has marked its EOS professional lenses with a special number which provides information about the manufacuring date. On the black back end of each professional lens you can find a printed number tells you more about the age.

LENS CODE: AB1234

A = Production plant
B = Year of manufacturing
12 = Month of manufacturing
34 = Unidentified number




Character - Year of manufacturing

A = 1986 G = 1992 M = 1998
B = 1987 H = 1993 N = 1999
C = 1988 I = 1994 0 = 2000
D = 1989 J = 1995 P = 2001
E = 1990 K = 1996 Q = 2002
F = 1991 L = 1997 R = 2003
