I received my D70 today...BUT!!!!

On the warranty papers from Debukelaer says:

Nikon Worldwide Service Warranty and for "one" year.(a light yellow paper)
I thought we have two years warranty over here in Belgium.
Is it normal ?

If I"m not mistaken, the proposition has been done to give 2 years warranty, but it hasn't been approved yet in Belgium...

seems only Olympus have 2 year warranty --> Canon,Nikon,Sony .... 1 year
Some shops give 2 years but think second year is on their own responsibility....

I have only 1 year warranty too.
It was just too expensive for me to increase it to 4 years.

That's correct, it is an EC guideline awaiting formal implementation in Belgium. Legislators are sooo slooow here

Waar ik hem gekocht heb kon ik voor een €100 5 jaar garantie en onderhoud "bijkopen". Dus de volgende jaren laat ik mijn toestel kuisen op kosten van die winkel.
