Ingo van Top-Foto vertelde me dat ze die spelertjes nu aangepast hebben en dat die MD's niet meer bruikbaar zouden zijn. Weet niet wat ervan aan is natuurlijk.

Ik vrees dat Ingo gelijk heeft. Ook op andere forums is al ervoor gewaarschuwd dat de nieuwste players een aangepaste schijf hebben die je niet meer in een digicam kan gebruiken.

Klopt, je kunt die niet meer gebruiken.

The 4GB Hitachi Microdrive shown here is a "white label" OEM version that was found in a Creative Labs Nomad MuVo² MP3 player. It is very difficult to find a real retail Hitachi 4GB drive in N. America because they're all being sold to the MP3 player makers.

Note: The 4GB drives in the Apple iPod Mini player will NOT work in a digital camera - period! And now it looks like all of the new MuVo players are also using incompatible 4GB drives. Before buying one on eBay make sure that the last three digits of the model number are 41C, 42B, or 43B - these are usable, the 44C drives are not.




Info About Hitachi Microdrives in MP3 Players
"It is an OEM (Black/White label) drive. And as such, is customized for that companies application at their request. Also at their request I cannot divulge what is different. There are no CF compliance labels on it since it is NOT Compact Flash Org compliant. Only our retail package (blue label) drives are truly CF Compliant as indicated by the CF mark on them. Hence, they will work in all cameras that are also CF complaint.
Other OEM drives with different part numbers are also not CF compliant and meet the requirements of that customer. All are subject to change without notice as well. So if you have an OEM drive that works now, one from that same mfg may not work later on...."
