De 7d is zeker sneller dan de 60D met AF.Met een kaartje van 60mb heb ik nog nooit problemen hehad met wegschrijven . 3200 iso is wel redelijk hoog , het kan wel maar5DmkII is beter op hoge iso maar dan tikt de prijs weer aan . En niet te onderschatten de lenzen , je kan lichtgevoelige lenzen nemen om de iso te laten zakken . Maar al deze ingrepen drijven enkel de prijs maar op .60 D heeft een kantelbaar scherm voor wie het nuttig vind .
Kiezen is alles behalve gemakkelijk.

Die hoge ISO lijkt me vooral nuttig bij partyfotografie. Op die manier krijg je een mooi verdeeld flitslicht. Ik heb al mooie voorbeelden gezien van een 5D met ISO 3200. Maar een full-frame is me op dit moment wat te kostelijk als je mijn objectieven bekijkt. Binnen een jaar of 2 misschien.

8 beelden per seconde is niet iets wat ik nodig ga hebben. Lijkt me vooral handig bij prof-sportfotografie. De 60D heeft er 5/sec. dacht ik. Is genoeg voor mij.

Maar mijn vraag is vooral gericht op de kwaliteit van de foto's. Ik ga ondertussen verder googlen. Reacties zijn nog steeds welkom ;-)

op kwaliteit gezien ga je met de 7D geen beter fotos nemen
het is vooral de werking van de camera in extreme toestanden, vb met grote tele's
of toestanden met sport en snelheid, daar telt de snelheid van de af, en die is verbluffend en trefzeker
ook de magnificatie van de zoeker met 100% is een zaligheid

De huidige Canon camera's hebbe een heel grote pixeldichtheid. Dat betekent dat alleen de beste lenzen goed genoeg zijn.

Het prijsverschil tussen de 7D en de 60D kan je misschien gebruiken om te investeren in glas.

Misschien moet iemand anders dit eens bevestigen, maar de batterij van de 7D moet een originele Canon zijn.
Voor mijn vorige camera's (350D, 50D) kon ik telkens een veel goedkoper Lenmar alternatief aanschaffen.

Nu is het wel zo dat de 7D heel zuinig is op zijn batterij. Ik heb een tweede in reserve, maar verbaas me er telkens over hoelang het toestel doet met ��n batterij. Ik maak wel weinig gebruik van LiveView.

Op het vlak van (optische) kwaliteit zouden theoretisch 7D, 60D en 600D of 550D gelijk moeten scoren, aangezien ze allen een identieke sensor gebruiken. Ik zet het in de voorwaardelijke wijs omdat ik ze zelf niet heb kunnen vergelijken.

Ik heb als backup een kloon batterij besteld uit Hong Kong voor zo'n 20 euro en die werkt perfect in de 7D. De eerste keer dat ik deze er in stak kreeg ik wel een foutmelding, maar nadien nooit meer teruggezien. Kloonbatterij gaat trouwens ook heel lang mee.

ik dacht dat 60D en 7D geen % meer gaven van uw batterijniveau eens je daar een cloon in steekt?

Ik zit zelf ook na te zien voor een 7D in afwachting van de 5D mkIII ( dan koop ik lekker de MKII

) Ik zou niet zo graag mijn 8-16mm Sigma lens willen wegdoen voor de feestjes. 60D zie ik niet zitten, ben niet zo voor dat flippy flappy kantelscherm, das gewoon meer miserie als je eens op het strand zou zitten, dat zijn meer hoekjes waar zand zich in kan verstoppen of water.

Yep, batterijcapaciteit wordt nog weergegeven.
Wel heb ik onlangs dezelfde batterij gezocht voor een kennis, en niet meer terug gevonden. Wel een andere kloon, maar hierbij hoort een aparte lader (deze kloon is niet op te laden met de originele lader) en hierbij wordt de batterijcapaciteit weer niet weergegeven ?!

Hier nog een tevreden 7D-user

Ben overgestapt van de 350D.
7D is een prachtig toestel!
Alle nodige instellingen direct bij de hand, waardoor je niet steeds in die menu's moet duikelen, en ondertussen je onderwerp verdwenen is

En inderdaad: de batterij gaat enorm lang mee. Ik heb er toen direct een reserve bijbesteld, maar eigenlijk is dit een (overbodige) luxe. Tenzij je bijvoorbeeld meerdere dagen weg bent zonder oplaadmogelijkheid.

60D zal zeker ook goed zijn, doch het "vasthouden" telt ook mee vind ik: ik vind de 60D te klein, te licht en te plastiekerig.
Of de 60D en 7D even goed scoren, weet ik niet. Gebruiken ze beide dezelfde rekenprocessor(s)?? De 7D is alvast fantastisch snel....
