overstap Fuji S3 pro naar D300/D3

heeft iemand van jullie hier al de overstap gemaakt van een S3 pro naar een D300 of D3?

zo ja, wat zijn jullie ervaringen - positief en negatief? Is dit de grote sprong voorwaarts?


werkterrein zou vooral portret en interieurfotografie zijn.

I've got an S3, D2X and D3.

VERY different animals.
Are there specific things you want to know? Because covering the whole user-experience thing could take a long time.

Even within those 2 disciplines you mention, each camera performs very well, in it's own way..

I love using all 3 of them, each have strengths and weaknesses.

my problem is the S3 is soooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooow...., batteries are so fast empty.
and i'm afraid, even in RAW, I can't go bigger than A3 , or am i wrong?

How many shots are you getting from the batteries?
I always have 2 extra trays ready with charged batteries. I agree though, they are empty quite fast.

I've printed some Fuji shots at 60x90 and they are fine.

Speed.. Yes, it's a Fuji feature. You love it or you hate it.

I just know that I would really miss that camera if it wasn't here. When we do the madeup shoots, Mr Fuji always comes out. I never use flash with it, I just use the ambient studio lighting, 800 or 1600 ISO. The colours and tones that camera captured are just amazing.

The D3 is taking some time to tame, but it's looking good. I can almost simulate a Fuji picture with it!

That full 35mm sensor does bring other issues with it though.

How many shots are you getting from the batteries?

I'm afraid not more than 200 shots.

i would never get rid of my fuji, it's my first digital cam, and i love him
but it has some disadvantages.... as every camera i fear...
