    Twijfel tussen Panasonic FZ18 en Sony H9

    Hoi,

    Ik ben vanplan een nieuwe SLR camera te kopen maar ik tijfel nog serieus tussen de Panasonic FZ18 en Sony H9.

    De Panasonic heeft dan weer meer mogelijkheden en een fantastische 18X zoom maar de menu en het uiterlijk is niet zo, deze kost 429€.

    De sony heeft dan weer 15X zoom, een draaibaar scherm 3" en heeft een fantastisch en overzichtelijk menu en nightshot mogelijkheden. Deze kost 385€

    Heb je raad help me dan want ik geraak niet uit men twijfel

    Barely half a year after the introduction of the DMC-FZ8, Panasonic added another model to its popular range of compact 'super zoom' Lumix cameras in the shape of the FZ18. Although obviously based on the FZ8 (they are externally almost identical), the FZ18 doesn't replace it; it's a sort of 'big brother' with a bigger zoom, more pixels and a smattering of new features.

    Almost exactly 12 months after the launch of the Cyber-shot DSC-H2 and DSC-H5 Sony announced the replacement cameras; the DSC-H7 and the top-of-the-range model reviewed here; the DSC-H9. That Sony chose to increase the pixel count (to 8MP) and to include this year's 'must have' features (face detection and ludicrously high maximum ISO) can't have surprised many, but there are a few less predictable new features, and a few welcome changes. The former include Sony's unique 'NightShot' infra-red mode (seen on many camcorders as well as a few Cyber-shots over the years), a 15x zoom and HDTV (well, 1080i) output. The latter include an articulated (tilt-up) screen, improved focus system, faster performance and a new (in the box) remote control.

    The enduring popularity of Canon's 'big zoom' range began on the day the original PowerShot S1 IS was announced back at the start of 2004, heralding a return to a sector of the market many believed the photo giant had abandoned when the Pro 90 IS was discontinued a few years earlier.     Almost exactly a year after the introduction of the DMC-FZ7, Panasonic's popular compact super-zoom camera, comes its replacement; the Lumix DMC-FZ8. Where the FZ7 was a fairly major upgrade to the camera that came before it (the FZ5), the FZ8 is, perhaps inevitably, more evolutionary. The body design and operation is almost identical - no bad thing, given the huge improvements made over the FZ5 - and the only really big news is the inclusion of Raw shooting and a much better electronic viewfinder.

      Ik zou ook voor de FZ18 gaan. En euh, €429 voor de FZ18?

      Bij Top-foto.de staat hij aan €389

      Bij Fotokonijnenberg.be staat hij aan €366

        Hier een héél tevreden gebruiker van de H9...
        Blijkbaar hebben alle gebruikers van Dpreview probleempjes met hun H9, behalve ik

          De F18 heeft een serieus BlueBand probleem welk veel frustaties kan geven.
          Panasonic zegt een oplossing te zoeken maar als die er al komt? is dat zeker niet voor eind Januari weten ze te melden.

          Het schijnt veel voor te komen, maar niet alle FZ18 schijnen in de zelfde mate last van te hebben, sommige pechvogels hebben regelmatig een erg sterke brede Blueband links vertikaal op de foto, anderen zien dat af en toe bij een bepaalde instelling en dan nog de ene keer duidelijk aanwezig en een tweede direct erna genomen weer niet!?!
